Historical context
Veronneau performs in English, Spanish, Portuguese and her native French, what better selection than the international delights of France, Brazil and Latin America. The music is introduced in the context of the inter-relationship of French and American Jazz, and also focuses on Washington DC's specific role in mainstreaming Brazilian music in the 1960's, introducing bossa nova to the world through the work of Charlie Byrd and Felix Grant.
