Hello! My musical exploration began with the piano at age 7, and deepened in my 20s when I had the opportunity to study with renowned flutist Paula Robison at the New England Conservatory of Music. Years later I moved away from the conventional form of Western classical music and discovered my voice as an improvisational artist. A child of Indian immigrants, I was immersed in the sounds of Indian classical music from a young age, which has greatly influenced the way I hear & relate to music. I now blend a variety of sounds and forms in my unique style.
In May of 2024 I released an album entitled "The Great Intimacy," a collection of original compositions and improvisations along with Alexander Karvelas a.k.a. dros on sitar/oud. The album was produced by Christopher Krotky. My musical sensibility arises spontaneously from my mystical relationship with life. My improvisations and compositions are channeled to evoke a sense of beauty from the wellspring of interconnectedness.

Music

During live performances I often blend Indian classical, Middle Eastern, & Western classical music in my compositions and improvisations to create a tapestry of ethereal soundscapes. I often play in an ensemble with Alexander Karvelas a.k.a. dros on sitar/oud and Josh Mellinger on tabla/tombak.
