Formed by American violinist Sophie Bowden and Brazilian guitarist Nícolas Porto Silva, Duo Ardea emerged with the purpose of presenting renowned works from the violin and guitar repertoire, alongside original arrangements created by the duo. Performing throughout New York, the duo has explored venues ranging from intimate salons to traditional concert halls, aiming to create an artistic dialogue that bridges diverse musical traditions.

Combining Sophie’s refined sensibility and deep experience with chamber and orchestral repertoire with Nícolas’s expressive phrasing and strong roots in Latin and contemporary music, Duo Ardea seeks to dissolve stylistic boundaries.
