About

I am a Californian cellist and composer fluent in many musical languages from around the world, especially North Indian Classical music.

Music

My specialty is Hindustani music, raga of North India. I've spent most of my life adapting Gayaki-Ang, or vocal style Hindustani music to the cello. I perform often with my collaborator tabla player Neelamjit Dhillon, and I write chamber music that combines Indian and Western classical traditions.
