About

I am a violist based in Boston, MA. This season I will be performing regularly as guest solo violist with the Arctic Philharmonic Sinfonietta in Bødo, Norway. I also perform frequently with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and Philadelphia Orchestra. I most love playing chamber music, and can think of nothing more fun than a sight-reading party with friends. I have performed alongside Itzhak Perlman, Kim Kashkashian, Paul Katz, Donald Weilerstein and the Jasper String Quartet, as well as many of the leading talents of my generation, including Stella Chen, William Hagen, Stephen Waarts, and Inmo Yang. I studied with Kim Kashkashian at the New England Conservatory and Peter Slowik at the Oberlin Conservatory.

Music

I have a large repertoire of solo and chamber music from Baroque-present day. Some of my favorites are the solo works of Bach, Telemann, and Ligeti, sonatas with piano by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Hindemith, the Mozart violin-viola duets, and a long list of short miniatures with piano that I dearly love.
