Join the Legacy String Quartet on a winter night to hear Haydn's Op 20 No.2, and a portion of Brahms String Quartet in A minor. Legacy String Quartet has beeb making waves in NY since their creation just a year ago, performing their Carnegie Hall debut as well as the Tilles Center and the Vanderbilt Museum & Estate. We talk about every piece before performing and encourage a night of interesting history and connection!


Historical context

Haydn is considered one of the fathers of classical music, who taught Beethoven and was a huge inspiration for Brahms. This musical lineage can be traced back to 1300's and prior, passed down through teachers and patrons of the arts.
