What does the future of piano music sound like? Come find out.

To open E4TT’s 19th season, emerita pianist Dale Tsang returns to the stage for a program of works selected from E4TT’s latest Call for Scores—bringing 13 winning composers and 13 distinct musical perspectives to the piano.

From the mechanical energy of Jinjoo Choi’s Cogwork Rhapsody to the dreamlike Evoke Stardust by Brady Wolff, the program travels through ragtime, rhythm, fragments, landscapes, suites, and experimental textures. Other works explore everything from frozen motion and flickering sounds to rain, light, water, and the pulse of a city.

It’s a chance to hear new music by emerging and established composers, performed by a pianist whose long career is deeply connected to the contemporary music community.
