Strange Interlude is a mixed-instrumentation chamber ensemble. While our core members play harp and cello we're often collaborating with any number of instruments (flute, bass, trumpet, voice, violin, viola, etc.).

*Quick Note About Harp Moving: The harp is a lovely instrument and we're always happy to bring it to new and exciting places (we have a car for harp moving). That said, because of its size it can be a little tricky to maneuver in narrow spaces or winding stairs. As both a duo and larger ensemble Press and Linn-Gerstein design intimate salon-style concerts with programs that are carefully curated to include seldom-performed works, pieces by contemporary composers and transcriptions and arrangements for their unique instrumentation. Composers whose works often feature on Strange Interlude's Groupmuse programs range from Vivaldi to Saint-Saëns, Bach to Villa-Lobos, and Schumann to Lane Eaton.
