The award-winning ensemble Serenade Duo featuring flutist Michelle LaPorte and guitarist Gerry Saulter captivates audiences worldwide with their engaging performances, warm stage presence, and expressive playing of cross-cultural “Global Chamber Music”. As performers, teaching artists, and advocates for “Global Chamber Music”, Serenade Duo has toured extensively throughout the USA, Europe, Canada, and Latin America. They are concert and recording artists for Centaur Records, Miyazawa Flutes, Alhambra Guitars, RC Strings, and Dieter Hopf Guitars.

As five-time Artists International Distinguished Chamber Music Award Recipients, the Duo has performed at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Concert Hall in NYC. Serenade Duo received a Suffolk County Certificate of Appreciation for Diverse Community Programs, are LI Grants for Arts recipients, Petrichor International Music Competition third prize winners, and three-time finalists of The American Prize.

Music

Serenade Duo’s “Global Chamber Music” is a fusion of composed “classical chamber music” with inspirations of “global music” with the vision to share meaningful multicultural music through guitar and flute instrumentation. This cross-cultural approach to the arts:

Thematic concerts of flute and guitar music by composers from around the world are woven together with engaging narrative to encourage mindful listening, emotional reflection, personal and community connections.
