About

Heather Lake is a genre-defying singing actor celebrated for her vivid storytelling, vocal versatility, and bold artistic range. Equally at home in contemporary opera, Baroque music, musical theatre, and even 70s psychedelic rock, she brings emotional depth and refined musical instinct to every performance. In the 2023–2024 season, she founded the Lyric Arts Collective, presenting recitals of art song, opera, and musical theatre in community venues such as Groupmuse, homes, and local theaters. She also made her solo debut at Carnegie Hall with the Oratorio Society of New York under Kent Tritle, recorded Mahler’s Fourth Symphony with the Village Evereign Ensemble, and performed Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with the Collegium Musicum Orchestra. Past highlights include performing in Lincoln Center’s premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Search for Spring, touring Ireland as a soloist with the Shrine of the Ages Alumni Choir, and serving as soprano scholar at the Amherst Early Music Festival.
