About

Chase Elodia's ensemble combines an improvisational sensibility with an aesthetic orientation that has been nourished by singer-songwriters and electronic artists like Meshell Ndegeocello, Norma Winstone, and Becca Stevens. They have performed at venues such as the Winter Jazz Festival and Public Records, and have given master classes at universities across the country, including Yale, Bennington, and Oberlin.

Music

Our music is rooted in jazz, folk, indie-rock, and poetry traditions. The band features two vocalists, guitar, piano, bass, and drums, and plays original music inspired by fruit, fluttering eyelids, the textuality of grief, and roommate relations.
