Cellist Ayoun Alexandra Kim is a dynamic performer, excelling in chamber music and as a soloist, dedicated to promoting community engagement through her music.
In 2023, she performed alongside acclaimed artists like Inon Banatan and Julio Elizalde in the Chamber Music Tuesday series.
Kim gained recognition in 2022 through competitions such as Yamaha Young Performing Artist, Artist Presentation Society, and the Musicians Club of Women. She appeared in music festivals such as Norfolk, Sarasota, Kneisel Hall, and Sommerakademie-Mozarteum, performing for cellists Laurence Lesser, Steven Doane, Myung-Wha Chung, Frans Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, and Maria Kliegel.
Her commitment to education led to joining the junior faculty of the Vivace Foundation in 2022. She showcased her versatility as principal cellist in the 2023 Spoleto Orchestra. With Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Juilliard School, she is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
