About

I'm a 26-year-old, classically trained pianist based in New York City. I have been fortunate enough to study for 7 years with Robert McDonald at The Juilliard School for my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. Since 2018, I have been additionally studying with Emanuel Ax in Juilliard's two-year Artist Diploma program.

My most memorable performance experiences include multiple performances at The White House Holiday Open House (2004-2008), my debut recital at Carnegie Hall (Dec 2019) awarded by Juilliard, and my performance of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Philadelphia Orchestra in Beijing during the final round of the 1st China International Music Competition (May 2019).

Aside from music, I love foreign languages. After learning French in high school, I became fascinated with Finland on an extended layover, and became fluent via exchange classes at Columbia University during my Juilliard undergraduate degree.

Music

All styles of classical music. I enjoy starting my programs with Bach, and including lesser known compositions of the great masters (Beethoven, Chopin, Medtner). Lately, I have been learning music by Debussy and Clara Schumann, and perform often with my roommate, violinist Max Tan.
