About

This account is dedicated to my primary ensemble, Bergamot Quartet. We are a string quartet who is currently the Graduate Quartet in Residence at the Mannes School of Music. We met at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, MD, where we all completed masters degrees, and are passionate about bringing to life the classical music of today!

Music

We play exciting works for string quartet that combine traditional classical sounds with newer innovations for the genre, including works by members of our ensemble. We're particularly dedicated to performing works by female-identifying composers. Recently we have performed/recorded works by Caroline Shaw, Tania León, Jessie Montgomery, Suzanne Farrin, Julie Zhu, and Sky Macklay, among many others.
