A little while back, we had a Groupmuse Night Out that featured the greatest-of-their-generation string quartet The Emerson at the Smithsonian Museum. Not surprisingly, it sold out like whoa and our crowd loved it.
Well, Smithsonian Associates must love us right back, because they’re ready with their next Night Out with the Emerson String Quartet!
We’ll start with Mozart’s 18th String Quartet, the 5th of 6 dedicated to his friend and mentor Haydn — and often referred to as among the greatest quartets ever written.
It’s followed by the D.C. premier of the 10th String Quartet by Pulitzer Prize-winner Richard Wernick.
We finish with the 2nd String Quartet by Shostakovich — like all Shostakovich, it’s haunting, shocking, blistering, and beautiful.
For the many, tickets’ll run no less than $50. But this here’s Groupmuse and we make with the goods, so we’ve got an exclusive stack for only $25 — a full 50% off. But I’m telling you, *these won’t last, so make haste!
*
And have a great Night Out!
