Lincoln Center is the permanent home to a lot of the greatest classical music institutions of the modern era: The NYPhil, the Met, the Chamber Music Society and more. But it’s also an indispensable stop on tour for innumerable preeminent ensembles the world over — and on March 11th, London’s own Philharmonia Orchestra is coming through. Best of all: Lincoln Center has invited our community along for a Night Out!
The Orchestra is directed and conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen - one of our generation's leading lights. They’ll start with Jean Sibelius’ overwhelming tone poem - The Oceanides. It’s followed by Esa-Pekka Salonen’s own Cello Concerto, featuring Norwegian legend Truls Mørk on the cello. The concert ends with Igor Stravinsky’s complete Firebird - a towering and electrifying achievement; Stravinsky also happens to be a specialty of Salonen, so this one has got the goods in a big way.
The stack of tickets we’ve got averages over $60 a pop — but thanks to our wonderful friends and partners at Lincoln Center, we’ve got the hook up, so you’ll get your ticket for $25 — more than 50% off!
But you know as well as I do that these won’t last, so make your move if you want to join!
And have such a great Night Out!
