In the last years of his life, George Frideric Handel had arrived as the most successful composer in the history of Western Music. Increasingly blind, but wealthy, in-demand, and confident his contributions to human culture would last (as they have), he still had one last big masterpiece in him, and it would prove to be among his greatest: His biblical opera, Jephtha. It’s a tale of heroism, devotion, and the bonds of family. It’s also possessed of some of the most divine music ever penned.
And, you guessed it — it’s all lined up for our next Groupmuse Night Out. Our wonderful friends at Boston Baroque have assembled a diverse cast of powerhouses for an evening of the sublime in the glorious Jordan Hall.
Tickets typically average $65, but we’ve got a stack for only $15 — more than 75% off! It’s hard to imagine getting more chills, tears, love, and bang for your buck than that, but supplies are limited so make your move!
And have a great Night Out!
