    For the most part, Groupmuse Nights Out is about bringing our community out of the living room and into the concert hall, to see how classical music is done in the Big House, where you're neither allowed to nurse a beer nor yelp in ecstasy at a thrilling finale. But once in a while, we get a Night Out offer that truly expands upon the spirit of Groupmuse and this Friday is one of those once-in-a-whiles.

    Halcyon Chamber Music Series is putting together a rather rip-roaring phantasmagoria of music and then some, and they want us to join. And I reckon you'll want us to join too upon hearing:

    We'll gather in The Muse -- a huge Bushwick warehouse, adorned with relics evoking a spirit from a century ago. Some of the best musicians in the city have prepared Tchaikovsky's overwhelming, lush, melodious, and rollicking Souvenir de Florence for String Sextet. ABCirque, The Muse's in-house circus, will be performing aerial acrobats overhead. And they'll be doing some aerial bartending as well. Also, there will be a ball pit, for those who long for the days of it not being weird to dive in at a McDonald's PlayPlace.

    Tchaikovsky.
    Acrobatics.

    And! While tickets typically cost $70 at the door, we've got a big old stack for just $20 -- a totally insane discount!
