For the last several years, we've had the pleasure of seeing the Groupmuse community blossom all over the Bay Area, both East and otherwise. But our Groupmuse Nights Out offerings have never known an evening in Berkeley, but, thanks to our friends at the New Century Chamber Orchestra, that's about to change.
The NCCO is a conductor-less, collaboratively-run chamber orchestra that has, over the last 25 years, become one of the most dynamic and exciting chamber orchestras in the country. And you'll see why:
Their program starts with two new works: First, piece by composer Sally Beamis -- Seavaigers, for violin, accordion and strings. It'll be followed by Peteris Vasks' Distant Light - a concerto for violin and string orchestra.
The second half of the concert will Antonín Dvořák's enchanting and beloved Serenade for Strings in E major. A dialogue of old and new. Music making at the absolute highest level. A Night Out to remember. And it's all going down in Berkeley's glorious First Congregational Church.
Typically, these tickets run, on average, $45, but our wonderful friends at NCCO have given us a stack for only $15 -- almost 70% off! But supplies are limited, so grab yours!
