8 voices and French Masters

LAM House (which stands for Love. Art. Music.) is preparing an evening of transcendent power this week, and they want us to join for a Groupmuse Night Out!

On Thursday evening, we'll gather in St. Peter's Church on Lexington to immerse ourselves in the sounds of the human voice -- 8 singers, backed by a piano and led by conductor Kelly KaWai Lam will celebrate the choral works of the French Masters: Debussy, Poulenc, Fauré and more. And while 8 voices have the range and scope to articulate the contours of a full chorus, the intimacy and smaller scale of a vocal octet will lay bare the subtleties of Debussy and co's genius.

As per usual, we've got a stack of discounted tickets, so this sumptuous feast of sound is yours for a mere $15 -- but sales close up at 12 noon on Thursday, so if you want in, make your move! Bon appetit!
