Regardless of religious affiliation or lack thereof, one has to marvel at the outpouring of human expression and beauty that The Church has occasioned. And there’s no better manifestation of that than the miracle of J.S. Bach, who wrote so much eternally great music for his God.
The shared experience of such profound sounds can’t help but stir the inner light, however one spend their Sundays.
The magnificent Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue is calling upon Bach’s power this Wednesday to celebrate the Eve of The Ascension with two of his masterworks to fill its vaulting, holy Hall, followed by a Gloria by Vivaldi.
The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys, backed by St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble and led by soloists Eric Brenner, Lawrence Jones, Mark Bleeke and Daniel Moore will make for an sanctuary of beauty, peace, and wisdom in our Mad City.
The standard rate for these tickets is $40, but Saint Thomas wants us to share in this moment so we’ve got a stack for $20! But the supply is limited, so if you want to join, please do.
Have a splendid Night Out!
