About a decade ago, Simone Dinnerstein changed the world of classical music. At the time a full-time piano teacher, she had an impossible-to-suppress expressive urge and so she humbly self-produced a recording of Bach's legendary and massive Goldberg Variations, which quickly became the best selling classical recording of its day and launched her career into the stratosphere -- paving the way for a generation of self-starting artists to show that it can be done with a little gumption, and a lot of talent.

Well, thanks to our friends at the Piatigorsky Foundation, we've got the opportunity to spend a Night Out with Simone, close up. At 6.30pm, on Tuesday March 27th, we'll gather at the Helen Mills Event Space in Chelsea to drink plentiful (and free) wine, and consume hors d'oeuvres to our hearts desire for an hour to hobnob with fellow 'musers and arts lovers from around the city, before gathering in their tiny, intimate theater for a 45 minute program with Simone, opened by founder of the Piatigorsky Foundation (and grandson of the great Piatigorsky himself), cellist Evan Drachman, accompanied by pianist Doris Stevenson.

It'll be a somewhat more upscale event that typical Groupmuse fare, so business casual is recommended so as not to stick out as the only Hawaiian-shirt-wearing sore thumb.

The list price for an evening of such intimacy, depth, and high society is $100 a ticket, but this is Groupmuse after all, so we've got a very limited stack for $40 -- 60% off! But I don't imagine these will stick around so grab yours if you want in!
