A Night Out with Camerata Pacifica!

From a burst of orchestral fireworks to the timeless elegance of Mozart, this program moves between bold contemporary voices and classical brilliance. Camerata Pacifica brings together Michael Daugherty’s spirited Firecracker, Jessie Montgomery Gibson’s colorful I prefer living in color, and Missy Mazzoli’s haunting Vespers for Violin, alongside Siamak Nourbakhsh’s The Innocence of Life, a moving new work commissioned for Camerata Pacifica by Gretel Stephens in memory of her husband, George. The evening culminates in Mozart’s Piano and Winds in E-flat Major, K. 452, a work of remarkable warmth and inventiveness that showcases the playful interplay between piano and wind instruments.

Camerata Pacifica specializes in making classical music feel less like a performance viewed from a distance and more like something happening right in the room—with intimate venues, adventurous programming, and world-class musicians at close range. Join them on Thursday, November 12 at 8pm for an evening spanning vivid new sounds, emotional depth, and Mozartian charm. Through Groupmuse Nights Out, you can experience the concert with discounted tickets, available exclusively to the Groupmuse community. A beautiful evening of chamber music, made a little easier to say yes to.
