We are excited to welcome a thrilling trio to the backyard of the Albany Distilling Company! Come enjoy sumptuous settings for cello, flute, and classical guitar. Highlights include works by de Falla, Bartok, Astor Piazzola, and contemporary virtuoso Nathan Kolosko.
Locally distilled spirits and Defazio's pizza will be available for purchase onsite. Come early to mingle, sip, and enjoy guaranteed seating and prompt pizza!
Note: the ADCO backyard is an intimate, semi-closed space with an open roof. To the extent there is significant rain, a backup indoor venue will be announced the day of the concert.
Finally: The "suggested" contribution can vary deeply depending on individual circumstance - if you are strapped, just throw in what you can! If you are interested in and able to generously support chamber music in the Capital Region, a donation of 2 or 3 times the suggestion goes a long way to making a musician's week. In other words - do not let the suggested number be a barrier one way or another!
What's the music?
Nathan Kolosko's Hungarian Trio (20 min), Astor Piazzolla's History of the Tango I. Bordel 1900 for flute and guitar, Bartok's Rumanian Dances for cello and guitar, Trittico by David Leisner (12 min) and Spanish dance no. 1 Manuel de Falla (4 min).
