Dear Music Lovers,
On Saturday, February 7th, at 6:00 pm, I will host a musical event in my condo. The music will start at about 6:30pm. Enjoy some splendid music, wine, cheese, and conversation with other music enthusiasts. Bring your own food and drinks if you like; I’ll only provide minimal wine and snacks.
Jay Julio, viola/violin will perform again for us! Many of you will recall Jay from my November 2024 and July 2025 Groupmuses. Among other degrees and awards, Jay has an MM from the Juilliard School and is the Viola / Violin III chair on Hamilton (Angelica tour), and Assistant Principal Violist of the Opera Philadelphia Orchestra. Emily Barkakati (violin) will join Jay. Emily has a doctorate in music from the U. of Michigan and two other music degrees. She performs with Opera Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Ballet.
Don’t forget to register with Groupmuse (Philadelphia) for this exciting event.
Finally, you will each be asked to pay what you can (suggested $20) — all of it goes directly to the musicians. Give more than suggested if you like!
