Where does this music come from?

Worlds collide:

The flauto d'amore - a favorite of baroque-era composers, largely forgotten for most of the 20th century -- shines again in a new world premiere work by Ljova, featuring the flauto d'amore in duet with the fadolín, a new instrument that Ljova has been championing.

Ljova's daredevil solo violin piece "Greenway", conceived as a companion piece to HIF Biber's "Passacagalia", was inspired by country fiddle music and Ljova's love of cycling around Manhattan by bike.

Works by pianist/composer Elle Gurevich highlight the young composer's fresh and unique voice, blending her classical training and jazz-infused harmonic language.
