Please join us for a special presentation of Adrienne Baker's 🌳The Grieving Place🌳. The Grieving Place (TGP) is dedicated to holding space for healing and catharsis through the musical expression of grief and loss. TGP hopes to foster understanding and empathy for those who have experienced loss and to provide a platform for artists to share their stories and experiences through the universal language of music. Through this project, TGP wishes to promote a sense of connection and belonging for all who have been touched by grief and loss.

From the artist:

"We are socialized to hear certain sounds, certain musics, and ascribe quality and narrative to these sounds. I push the boundaries of these expectations to craft a sound installation that captures the complexity of human emotion."

About the artist:

Adrienne Baker is a multifaceted flutist, composer, and interdisciplinary artist who explores memory, grief, and healing through immersive, narrative-driven performance. With a practice that spans classical performance, collaborative ensemble work, and original sound installations, Adrienne creates spaces where music becomes a vehicle for personal and collective transformation. Her recent solo project, 🌳The Grieving Place🌳, exemplifies this approach, integrating sound, storytelling, and interactive elements.

Your donations are a vital support to continue the work of this fiscally sponsored project. The Grieving Place.

In 2025, Adrienne also received a Fellowship award from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
