We’re thrilled to have you over as musician-hosts for a program of soaring works for violin and piano, as we play pieces by four composers working since the era of Modernism (Leoš Janáček, Charles Ives, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Patrick Stoyanovich) who summon remembered voices to life.
What's the music?
Leoš Janáček: Violin Sonata
Charles Ives: Violin Sonata No. 4, "Children's Day at the Camp Meeting"
Patrick Stoyanovich: Selected Preludiums from the St. Cecilia Requiem
Rachmaninoff: Vocalise
