Our ever-eminent friends at The New York Philharmonic are having an epic week and they want us to join for a matinee this Friday! So call in sick, play a little hooky, whatever you gotta do -- we're heading back to Lincoln Center!

We start with a New York Philharmonic commission by Jessie Montgomery, who is undoubtedly one of the great composers of our age -- her CHEMILUMINESCENCE will open the show.

Then it's onto the warhorses: Igor Stravinsky's astonishing Violin Concerto with the absolutely electrifying Patricia Kopatchinskaja on violin.

The finale of the concert is the great sage of the German Romantic, Johannes Brahms and his Symphony No. 1 -- a masterpiece that needs to introduction.
