    For this beloved community, Black History Month is yet another month of twelve where we work to center black musicians and composers, who’ve been so long forced to the margins of classical music.

    And yet, there is something special about BHM - a universally recognized time to, for weeks on end, collectively work honor and remember and celebrate. So we proudly join the chorus to sing the song of a people who have given so much meaning and beauty and purpose and sweat and blood to this nation.
