    This Halloween, at the heart of our mini-festival, we’re so pleased to be able to center the phenomenal cellist Dara Hankins, who’ll be unleashing Bach’s 1st and 2nd Cello Suites — two of the most sublime sound-scapes yet known to human ears.

    And Dara isn’t just a brilliant cellist who knew Groupmuse from the beginning — she is also one of the leads of our Planetary Music Movement at Groupmuse, which is committed to celebrating artists of African descent.

    As the recently formed Groupmuse Foundation is expressly designed to deepen the diversity of the voices that make up contemporary classical music culture, we’re so grateful Dara is sharing her monumental talents with us.

    This event is going to be a Premiere, which means it will be pre-recorded specially for our audience, and Dara will be joining for the pre- and post- performance Zoom chats.

    As with all of the performances in our festival, all money raised goes to the Groupmuse Foundation, so we can continue our important work.
