Tom Torrisi is a guitarist and composer based in Troy, NY. Active as a soloist and chamber musician, Tom’s performance highlights include the 21st Century Guitar Festival, Black House Collective, Buffalo International Guitar Festival, Buffalo Guitar Research Conference, June in Buffalo, Mostly Modern Festival, the NYC Electroacoustic Music Festival and Rochester Fringe Festival. As a composer Tom draws on his diverse and eclectic performance background and one can hear influences as wide-ranging as French impressionism, Balinese gamelan, American minimalism, and heavy metal. Tom is a passionate explorer of non-Western musical styles and performs with Nusantara Arts’ Balinese gamelan ensemble.

I play a wide variety of classical guitar repertoire including baroque, classical, romantic, Latin American, and contemporary as well as my own original compositions.
