Violin Accordion Duo
About
Tekla Klebetnica is the Polish folk-crossover duo of Anna Czupryn (violin, vocals) and Zygmunt Czupryn (accordion). Founded in 2006 in Ustroń, they fuse the fiery spirit of Carpathian highlander music with Balkan, Gypsy, classical, and jazz influences. Their dynamic interplay of violin and accordion creates a sound that is at once rooted in tradition and boldly modern. Gaining national attention with a second-place finish on Mam Talent in 2013, the duo has since brought their energetic and emotional performances to audiences across Europe. With their 2016 debut album Folk-Crossover, Anna and Zygmunt continue to reimagine folk music—transforming it into a living, evolving art form.
Music
We perform native folk music mostly from the Carpathian mountain range with an addition of a few Balkan melodies. The fusion of traditional folklore with elements of gypsy, classical and jazz music is called FOLK-CROSSOVER. During concerts, we draw our audience into our musical adventure! Folklore is of great importance for each of us and therefore we continue to reach into its roots by adding something new and unusual. Our tracks are arranged in an interesting way full of color, joy, sadness, happiness and adventure with a huge dose of energy and virtuosity. We perform the music with style and variety so that everyone will find something in our music.
