About

I'm a native Los Angelino but moved to New York City in 2010 to study at Juilliard and have since played with many greats in the jazz idiom including Cecile McLorin Salvant, Freddy Cole, George Coleman, Mike LeDonne and many others, at venues like Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Blue Note, The 1905 and The Black Cat.

Music

My group, "The Folk Element Trio" is rooted in the tradition of jazz but reaches beyond to incorporate different styles of folk music from around the world including West Africa, the Caribbean, The UK and Appalachia. They released their debut album in April of 2021 to rave reviews and have since been performing all around the country/the world. They will be making their group muse debut in January 2026 as part of an extensive west coast tour.
