Maya Mueller is a clarinetist and educator from Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree at the Manhattan School of Music, where she studies with David Krakauer. Maya holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from Vanderbilt University, where she was a recipient of the Linde B. Wilson Scholarship.
A versatile musician, Maya served as principal clarinetist in the Vanderbilt Orchestra and Wind Symphony and was a featured soloist at the 2023 College Band Directors National Association conference. Her chamber music experience includes performances at prestigious summer festivals, such as the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival at Lincoln Center.
Deeply committed to music education and community outreach, Maya has taught in underserved communities across the U.S. and abroad, including volunteer teaching with the W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville, the Banda Sinfónica Integrada de las Américas in Colombia, and DMI in Tanzania.

Passionate about collaboration, Maya especially enjoys forming chamber groups that explore new sounds and creative partnerships. Every performance she gives invites audiences to listen closely, feel deeply, and experience music as something alive and ever-evolving.
