About
I'm a classically trained violinist, ensemble member, and occasional spontaneous street performer. I studied at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge MA for many years with world-class violin teacher, Mark Lakirovich. In high school, I played with the conductor-less Camerata ensemble and performed in Germany, Italy, Iceland, and Russia. At Harvard, I played with the River Charles Ensemble. During and after Harvard, I found violins in India and the Netherlands, where I kept playing. At Stanford, I played with the Stanford Baroque Soloists, instructed by notable Baroque instructor, Anthony Martin; and joined the alumni spin-off group, Peninsula Baroque Collegium, led by Elan Dagenais. I love forming improvisational groups of musicians and bringing the awe-inspiring joy of music into people's everyday lives.
Music
My favorite music to play is improvised and Baroque (Corelli, Vivaldi, Bach). I've been reviving my repertoire of Bach, Paganini, Vivaldi, Sarasate, Wieniawski, Bartók and more, for upcoming GroupMuse performances, and look forward to the next opportunity to share in the making and merriment of live music.
