DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Lisa G.\nMusicians: Will Marsh\n\nWe're delighted to
present an intimate afternoon of Hindustani classical music on sitar\, tab
la and tanpura\, featuring Bay Area sitarist Will Marsh\, William Rossel o
n tabla\, and Joyce West on tanpura. \n\nThis concert is hosted in a beaut
iful Marin home with lots of natural light and a warm atrium.\n\nThe cente
rpiece of the afternoon is Raag Bhimpalasi\, one of the best-loved ragas o
f the Hindustani tradition\, and one traditionally performed in the aftern
oon. Its mood is tender and full of longing. It is the perfect raga for th
e fall season\, as its optimal time of performance is alongside the fading
daylight of the late afternoon. \n\nCheck out these video clips for an id
