 olinist **Katherine Kyu Hyeon Lim** has been presented by acclaimed organi
 zations such as Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity\, Chamber Music Ameri
 ca\, House of Yes\, International Contemporary Ensemble\, Joe’s Pub\, (L
 e) Poisson Rouge\, Luzerne Music Center\, Metropolis Ensemble\, The Juilli
 ard School\, Prague Conservatory\, and Music Technology at Mason Gross. Li
 m’s early performing career\, starting at the age of 10\, mainly took pl
 ace in South Korea\, Czech Republic\, Germany\, and the UK. Her debut albu
 m\, Starling (2023)\, was picked album of the day on Bandcamp Daily\, pick
 ed best new song on Paste Magazine\, and premiered on Deepest Currents. Li
 m is co-founder of Impromptuo and Muzosynth Orchestra (formerly the Moving
  Orchestra)\, both of which focus on performing free-form improvisation. S
 he was also founding member of the Unison Quartet\, prize winners at the B
 artók World Competition in 2021. Lim is current faculty member at Opus 11
 8 Harlem School of Music and Noel Pointer Foundation\, as well as former f
 aculty member at Luzerne Music Center\, New Amsterdam School and Kneisel H
 all Adult Chamber Music Institute. She holds bachelor’s and master’s d
 egrees from The Juilliard School and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from 
 Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts.\n\n🎷 About **[Yuma U
 esaka](https://www.yumasax.com/)**:\n**Yuma Uesaka** (b.1991) is a Japanes
 e-American saxophonist\, clarinetist\, improviser\, and composer based in 
 New York City since 2014. By way of London\, Nagoya\, and Detroit\, his mu
 sic spans jazz\, creative improvised music\, and new music\, exploring the
  physicality of performance and blurring boundaries between acoustic/elect
 ronic\, composed/improvised\, and music/noise. Uesaka has released Streams
  with pianist Marilyn Crispell Ocelot with Cat Toren and Colin Hinton\, an
 d Switches with Tropos (Phillip Golub\, Ledah Finck\, Aaron Edgcomb). He h
 as performed with Anna Webber\, Lesley Mok\, and Mali Obomsawin at venues 
 such as Roulette\, The Jazz Gallery\, and National Sawdust\, with recordin
 gs on Pi\, American Dreams\, and NotTwo.
