 nergetic and lyrical classical works. The duo will perform one of Beethove
 n’s ten famous Violin Sonatas\, showcasing not just Beethoven’s legend
 ary dramatic flair\, but also a charming sense of humor. Also on the progr
 am will be classical Czech and Hungarian works\, including a set of romant
 ic pieces by Antonin Dvořák and the wild and frenetic folk dance Czárd
 ás. \n\nIan Scarfe is well known in the Bay Area and internationally for 
 his artistry and skill at the piano. He is the founder and director of the
  Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival and is on the faculty of the San Fran
 cisco Conservatory of Music. Ian is curator of Chamber Music at the Centur
 y Club and is the pre-concert lecturer at Chamber Music Monterey Bay. He i

  degree in violin performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music
