An avid colaborator\, Cate worked as music director for the Pensacola Oper a Artists in Residencebprogram. Cate atended the 2022 Cliburn Amateur Comp etition as a Festival Participant. Cate is an active performerband chamber musician.\n\nIlluminated Forms\nConcert Pianist and Chamber Musician\n\nM ezzo-soprano Maggie Ramsey and I have put together a French-inspired progr am\, Un Été en Musique\, which will run about 50 minutes\, including a b it of commentary. Maggie and I previously worked together at the Shakespea re Opera Theatre.\n\nThe program includes solo piano and vocal works by Ch opin\, Fauré\, and several other French and French-inspired composers.\n\ nDetailed program TBD\n\nHistorical Context: ...\n\nCatherine Doss is a pi anist\, educator\, and creative collaborator based in the Washington\, D.C . area. After early training at Interlochen Arts Academy and earning degre es in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conserva tory of Music\, she served as Music Director for Pensacola Opera’s Artis t in Residence program and later took time away from performing to focus o n teaching\, family\, and community work. Recent appearances include the C liburn Amateur Festival\, PianoTexas\, and the Washington International Pi ano Artists Competition\, where she was a top prizewinner. Her programming often highlights underrepresented composers and explores the intersection of music\, language\, and story.\n\nPotLuck Dinner Buffet.
