Don't miss your chance to hear double bassist/electric bassist Claudio CampaDello and pianist Fabio Gemmiti. They will be performing for you live near Rome, Italy. Claudio has played with major orchestras in Italy and across Europe as a double bassist. Later in his career, he also became intensely interested in jazz and personal projects. Take in his versatile artistry as a master of the double bass crossing over from classical to jazz in this unique program. Claudio is a professor at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, Italy.

Fabio Gemmiti, pianist and accordionist, began his musical studies with his father, M° Antonio Gemmiti. He won numerous national and international competitions. He was finalist in the 1982 world championships of accordion held in Reggio Emilia. At fourteen years old, he enrolled at Conservatorio “L. Refice” di Frosinone, graduating in piano in only five years with full marks under pianist Licia Mancini. Besides winning multiple competitions and other pianistic events, as both soloist and in a duo with his brother Sandro, he represented Italy at the “XII Concorso Internazionale F. Chopin” of Varsavia, obtaining concert engagements at the Bosendorfer Klavierfabrik in Vienna. Thanks to his intense concert career, both on the piano and the accordion, he has been acclaimed in the most prestigious venue both in Italy and abroad. He is a guest artist at important festivals in Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Russia, China, Japan, and Canada, and has recorded for Radio Vaticana, Rai Radio 3, and for Real Sound record label.

ASMI will also be hosting live masterclasses via Zoom on Nov.7-8 & 14-15 with star faculty from The Juilliard School, NEC, the Boston Symphony, Pesaro Conservatory (Italy), and SookMyung Women’s University (Korea).
